The mandate of the Board of Directors is to promote and support the Suzuki Music Winnipeg program. 
Our goal is to offer excellence in education and programming through the Suzuki Method in order 
to help students, teachers and parents build potential within a nurturing music community.

Suzuki Music Winnipeg Board

Suzuki Music Winnipeg (SMW) is a non-profit registered charity. The SMW board receives donations from program participants and community benefactors in order to support the aims of the SMW, whose purpose is to promote the Suzuki Method of music education.

The Board's activities include:

• Administering community-based programming, including hiring a program coordinator
• Providing bursaries to subsidize program tuition for eligible families
• Funding facility rental for recitals
• Providing a string rental program
• Funding special events for the Program, including workshops
• Administering an instrument re-sale registry
• Offering support for initiatives that foster performance excellence
• Offering support for professional development (Suzuki training, workshops and conferences)
